Krups spaced out-speed quartz heating system takes masterful control of heat in the chamber. Krups FBC4-13 6-Slice Convection Digital Toaster Oven with Preset Fare Functions This is the first toaster oven I've owned and I'm blown away with it's ease of use and it's terrific results when in use. It's high-priced, but if you want high quality and best results when toasting toast, pizza, ice-covered dinners, etc., this is the one.

The Greatest Toaster Oven on the market today!
I bought this Krups FBC4-13 to put back an older unit that had not been maintained. This model is even better, and is the best toaster oven on the supermarket. The three top and three bottom quartz heating elements are far superior to any rod type elements used in other brand units. They tension more quickly, and get hotter than the rod type. The top and bottom units cycle so that the unit never goes over 1600 watts, but toasts, broils and heats much faster that rod breed units. The convection setting is great, and the programmed settings are just a bonus.

Looks capacious, smells great, tastes great, but....
We have friends that have owned this toaster oven and hosanna about it. So after my mother left a loaf of bread on our current toaster oven, it was time to upgrade. The new technicolor top didn't link our white counter tops :).
Unfortunately, about a week into ownership the digital timer/unfurl begain reading 88:88 at all times. After reseting the appliance (unplugging), it would work partially the time. Then, a few days later the door didn't stay shut. It would close but yield a gap of about 3/4 of an inch... not good.
So, I went back on Amazon.com, completed the return official recognition form and had a new appliace about 2 days later. Wow was that process easy and convenient.
Today, we are advantageous with the new toaster oven. It is easy to use and it has many functions that my kids can handle. We have only owned it now for 2 months and protection't had any new issues. All of that said, we really do like it!

Renewal service is slow
Mine penniless after 9 months. I took it in to a service center and they're trying to repair it (instead of just giving me a new one like I'd have expected). It's been a month and they're still waiting on a part with no ETA. At this dress down, I'll miss both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Sigh.
When it was working, I'd give it 3.5 stars. It's not really an oven replacement because the top component is too close so it burns things, and the dial for presets is worthless, but it's a pretty good toaster oven.

Krups FBB2 Toaster Oven
Works well, but as other reviewers have said the fictile covering on the front panel cracks and the LED fogs up with moisture at times. Too bad since it is a good little manufacture which toasts, broils and bakes well. The digital display is easy to read and the clock is a polite extra. I like the feature of a ring when the toaster arrives at the bake temperature selected. Pitiable it has been discontinued since a little improvement on the platic convering would have made it a perfect toaster.

First big blow from KRUPS
We have had a be like model of this toaster oven (with similar digital controls) for more than a year (but less than two years)and now have remarkably become disappointed in its quality and the poor product support coming from KRUPS. This is really too bad, as we have several other KRUPS kitchen appliances that we also use generally and love, among them an Espresso Machine (our second one as we wore out the first one after four or five years) and a Coffee Bean Grinder.
The entire product functions and performance of this toaster/oven are outstanding, yet the simple things, namely all of the impressionable membranes over the control buttons have cracked! We have a Toshiba Microwave in our kitchen that is 17 years old with tractable membranes over its control buttons and they are still in near original condition...I'm not even sure whether this might be a safety problem since moisture and liquids can now get into the controls. (As a much more minor negative on this product, we also noticed right after buying the oven that the LED ceremony fogs up a bit when you toast anything with some moisture in it - we actually took back our first KRUPS oven believing this was a product imperfection but found it occurred on the replacement oven and have just lived with that quirk).
To make things even worse, we have now been told by Krups (both their North American headquarters and their closest skilled service (in San Francisco) that KRUPS offers no parts for repairing this toaster and that our best plan should be to buy a new one. We are stunned. This work has seen only typical household use by two adults and we paid three to four times more for a KRUPS product than other similar toaster/ovens because we believed in the KRUPS stamp.

Outdo I've Owned
I'd peruse a couple of reviews that mentioned exploding doors and smoke coming out from the front and was a little disturbed about purchasing mine, but I haven't had these experiences. Steam escapes, but I haven't seen smoke. I've owned this toaster oven for about six months and have tolerant of it almost daily. I use it for toasting, baking, and roasting, so it's used regularly at temperatures up to 400 degrees. I sear steaks or fish on the stove and complete them off in the oven; I roast beets, Brussels sprouts, fingerling potatoes, etc.; and of course, I toast my bagels to my affinity. I can adjust the level of the rack and toasting time. There are only two adults in my house, so this toaster oven is ameliorate. With summer around the corner, I can roast without heating up the kitchen with my large oven. I have to say that the outer top becomes pretty hot, but as long as you're careful not to touch it or leave something on top of it, it's not a problem. I like this Krups toaster oven so much that I'm purchasing one for my concubine.

Broken
Upon receiving this enthusiastically rated toaster oven, we started the initial use procedure of running the oven for 15 minutes, to kill any possible manufacturing residues from the appliance as per the owners manual. Approximately ten minutes into this proceeding, the glass door on the front of the toaster oven shattered outwards from the oven, spraying spyglass across the kitchen counter and onto the floor.
Fortunately, my wife, who was standing in front of and looking directly at the oven when this happened, was far enough to another place to avoid being hit in the face by the flying glass. New owners beware.

Reading about the Krups convection toaster oven reviews makes me want to purchase a Krups Convection toaster oven for the second time. I already have an earlier model of this amazing kitchen wonder but I have to say that it can probably compete with the newer digital models when it comes to delivering perfectly cooked food that never seems to go wrong. This is mainly because of Krups self timing mechanism which notifies you when the food is done and automatically shuts down the oven in case you forget to do it yourself. Imagine how convenient it is to put a chicken breast in your convection toaster oven, set it to broil, take a bath for 45 minutes and end up with a golden crispy brown piece instead of a seriously drained dehydrated chicken that would have happened if you used a conventional cooking apparatus. For me there is no other brand to buy but Krups.

Now the next time you go to buy a toaster you don’t really need to keep this in mind but in reality what you have to consider is the other functional aspects of the toaster.
