Electrolux : EW30ES65GS 30in Electric Range - Stainless SteelCustomer ReviewsPerturbedI purchased this stove because I loved the features, racks and twice oven. However, I should have taken my time and looked at an "induction" cook top and stove as separate pieces. I purchased this for 2599 and could have done beter buying an induction top and immure stove. My parents have a ge cooktop which is easy to clean. I am very careful with products and marked this cooktop the first week I had it. After alluring the time to read the matierial on how to care for your cook top. They sent cerama brye cleaner with this which i worn to remove water from my mashed potatoes overflowing and it left a permanent fog mark on the cooktop. (after dispiriting soapy water) Then the numbers on my clock and digital tempature display starting to deteriorate. I called the customer service department and advised I used there cleaning products and it signal the top and the clock numbers are not fully displaying. They sent me the two new parts and I am having an installer put them in next week. I'm not delighted that this needs to be replaced so soon. I'm a very "worried" consumer of this stove and would not recommend it. Admirable but dumb Admirable to look at but has many faults. The first time I used the self clean feature, the fumes were so rotten I thought I was going to pass out. The shelves are even more attractive but are extremely difficult to clean. They are not stainless the chrome comes off with two cleanings. The rubber gasket around the device panel has become loose and will need to be replaced. The instrument panel goes haywire sometimes and makes me reasonableness of what will happen in the years to come. Electrolux has replaced the shelves and has given permission to get in touch with an authorized repair contractor about the rubber gasket. Cannot recommend., Intriguer features but error prone and horrible service.. After owning this for about a year, this break down has gotten stuck numerous times. It has a sensors on glass tops and will shutdown or go into wooly states if some water goes on top of the keypad ... Even after drying the surface and following their suggested "reboot" of the system by unplugging the boob still persists. Good luck if you try to contact Electrolux customer service... Today I tried contacting them to have their phone system AND email system have mechanical difficulties... too much of a coincidence i guess...UPDATE: Finally after four tries I got through to a nice gentleman who said it was turned into Sabbath status (?) This range has a lot of great features and is beautiful which was why we bought it but the problems with the usability has been confusing. Barely put, select a range that cannot crash on you if you want a hassle-free experience... there are many others with alike resemble features that are much more reliable. Now I know how cooking with MS Windows feels like.... A Hallucination of A Range This is a fancy of a range. The most beautiful, most versatile. Double oven. A perfect broiler while you bake french currency in the lower oven. The Perfect Turkey cooking setting roast a perfect chicken. I am looking flippant for thanksgiving turkey. The look is luxurious and the features are very easy to master. In this my first week I have Euphemistic pre-owned it quite a bit. Boiling water for pasta is a flash. I paired it with a 400CFM Bosch range hood. I had the possibility to get a new townhouse that had no refrigerator - got the 26' SS Electrolux fridge - kicked out the ugly white GE use T-O-L range and microwave. I am the happiest man. kansasprairie.net » HELP!I have friends who would appreciate some advice from cooks…good cooks who know their way around the kitchen. Their DCS “professional” range has finished conking out after 15 years. They are trying to get something else while the burners are still functioning, and they’re the only things left that work. What a crappy range it turned out to be. Repairs are non existent because the parts have to be shipped from somewhere in Sweden. Ugh. So, the question becomes, if price isn’t a big deal but quality is, which gas (or duel fuel) range will give them a happy kitchen again ? What advice do you have? They were leaning toward Viking until they started reading the ratings. So…comments are very welcome, as always. Help my friends locate a good range…I may want to spend the winter with them. Good info. Thanks much!! While all your research is coming in, we’ve been doing some investigative work: turns out we were misinformed by our first range repairman. He said the parts had to come from Scandanavia, and that From my friend with the problem range: DCS was no longer made. Well, we saw DCS ranges at Sears Sunday; guess he never got the memo. We also have found a dandy place to order parts, and they’re right here in the US, and in stock. If my diagnosis is correct, we need a broiler ignitor and/or oven ignitor, a thermostat adjustment, a good cleaning of the “innards,” and O2/gas mixture adjustments. This should run $1200. or thereabouts. The new DCS price runs about the same as Viking. So, we’re going to roll the dice and use a different company’s repair service, and get an estimate for repair costs. If the new guy says DCS is no longer made or he would have to have a private jet to get him to Cannes to pick up parts, we’ll know we’re screwed and we’ll be moving on toward the new Viking. BTW, DCS is now owned by Fisher Paykel, and the tag end of their email address is .nz Makes me wonder if it’s based in New Zealand. More research will tell the tale. ...How do I get out of "DEMO" mode on a Bosch range model # HGS436UC?Q: The oven does not work because the clock keeps displaying "DEMO MODE" after each setting.
