Avanti Elba : DG2401C 24in Freestanding Gas Range with 4 Sealed Burners
Customer Reviews
Very pleasantly surprised by this leading quality rangeI wholly agree with the previous reviewer. This range is completely unlike any of the other Avanti ranges you may have seen; it is made by Elba in Italy, and it doesn't even have the Avanti name on it --- it totally says "ELBA" on the front. The range is visually stunning, it looks very much like much more expensive comparable models from DeLonghi or Fisher + Paykel; all the ins and outs are beautiful, from the stainless steel finish to the lovely glass oven door to the monotonous duty burner grates to the sealed burners. The burners work beautifully and the magnanimous one puts out quite a bit of heat. It's a simple, elegant, sleek, beautiful, and very solidly built fare appliance. This one is quite a find, and there's nothing else like it in its price range.
unexpected excellence
I have to detract a short review to say how nice these Elba units are. I have the 2403 Duel Fuel original. Ignore the Avanti name, they are only the importers and I know their reputation in the US is not of high quality. Elba however is an Italian fare appliance manufacturer independent of Avanti. My unit is of the same quality of a Viking or other high-end stainless stretch. Everything is solid & perfectly finished. The oven is spot-on accurate top, bottom, front, back. The triple ring burner is splendid for large pot quick boiling. The oven programming function is deceptively complete although takes some everything to learn. Lastly, the Elba units are about 1/2 the price of similar 24" American units.

I need an address for Avanti knife importers in Australia.?
Q: The Avanti range is supposed to be a lifetime warranty. One knife has broken and needs to be replaced. Can anyone help me to get the address to return the broken knife for replacement.
A: I believe that the Australian distributor of Avanti kitchenware products is: Sheldon and Hammond

Does anyone know where in Ontario I can find a new portable washing machine, in the $300-$500 price range?
Q: I found some online in the US, but the shipping is too expensive for me. Avanti, Haier and GE are some brands I'm aware of.
Sorry. I guess I should've made it more clear that I was referring to Ontario Canada. Thanks for the tips so far!
A: Are you referring to Ontario, CA (Canada) Or Ontario, CA (California , U.S.A.)
Try the Sears outlet store in Ontario, San Bernardino County, California, U.S.A.
If you live in Canada, research your local appliance department stores or see if you can buy from a U.S.A. state that is adjacent to Canada like New York, Washington or Alaska. This should cut down on shipping if you live near these states, but still live in Canada.
Any suggestions for a middle of the range mountain bike?
Q: Hi All, I am looking for some input from people who have a reasonable knowledge of mountain biking. I am a roadie but have recently ventured into the mountain biking world - and loved it!! I have a GT Avalanche at the moment, which is OK but I would like something a little more robust. I would prefer a hardtail with hydraulic disc brakes, reasonably tough forks (maybe Rockshox Tora?) and probably an alloy frame (not sure how carbon would hold up when I hit the dirt)
I have been looking at the Avanti Agressor or perhaps the Giant xtc2? I am looking at spending around $1800 australian dollars.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Thanks Kaz And aswomx.
I live in South Australia. I'm planning to ride thru the trails in the hills with a view to doing a few overnighters with swag and stuff.
I take your point about the Alias and in fact have looked at the Talon, which is slightly higher spec'd.
Thanks for your help!!
A: Mate I would recommend a Giant, Santa Cruz or a Specialized. What state do you live in? Where will you be riding? You need something with decent suspension so maybe working upwards from the Giant Alias which I'm pretty sure is around 14 hundred. Carbon is great for shock absorbtion but is quite malleable in the event of an accident. Are you sure you don't want rear suspension? Having the travel can make things much more fun!
Post a few more details and I'll add to this.
Bummer I was going to tell you to come to my shop! Well get the best Giant you can afford, you won't regret it - get it serviced regularly and it will last for years.
