Amana Refrigerator not working - sort of? - Appliance Repair Forum
I have an Amana refrig that stopped cooling - both sides. I moved it to the garage. It was unplugged for a week or two. Just for fun I plugged it back in and it worked fine. It worked for about 4 months. Then we had a hot humid day and the garage door was open all day with a lot of in and out of the refrig. The refrig went out again.

re connecting sping in door - Appliance Repair Forum
The spring inside my door seems to be in one piece and I have a diagram of how the inside of the door should look, it shows the spring, but it does not show where it connects to, so I don't know if the part that it connects to is missing. There were no parts laying in the door so I just think it came unhooked, but cannot figure out where to re hook it.
