kitchenaid KUDS01FLSS6 dishwasher - ApplianceBlog.com - Appliance ...
So here is the deal I have a kitchenaid KUDS01FLSS6 dishwasher, stainless steel superba. The clean light flashes, I can touch the cancel button to clear any settings (normal wash, high temp rinse, etc), but the clean light just keeps flashing. Once I set the wash and rinse and select start and close the door, it just sits there. Nothing happens then the wash and rinse setting disappear and the clean light keeps flashing. That's it! that is what it does. What do you think The ol' blinking clean light. It is a heater circuit fault detection code. It's been my experience that 6 out 10 calls with this complaint I've found the heater circuit to be intact and no known cause, BUT, there are 2 micro sw's in the door sw, one is strictly for neutral for the entire machine, the other, is strictly for the heater circuit. the clean light is blinking 7 times. I looked at the diagnostics part of the doc and even though the names on the buttons are different I did hit a sequence High Temp -> Energy Saver -> High Temp -> Energy Saver and all lights came on and the clean light went into a rapid fire mode. It sat there for 10 minutes just doing that and I finally hit the cancel button. I checked out the heating unit as suggested. It seems smooth with no pits or anything. There is a little bit of calcium build-up in places, but not much really...

Broken door links on Kitchenaid Superba dishwasher (model ...
One of the door links on my Kitchenaid Superba dishwasher (model kuds01flss3) broke - the plastic connector is cracked. My question is what do I need to do to replace the part. Do I have to remove the inner panel? The door? Is there a link showing a schematic? I could not find one on KitchenAid's site. Written instructions or where to find them would also be appreciated. Got it! Well, when I called their customer service line and found no one there for the weekend, I decided to go ahead on my own. For anyone that may have this problem in the future, it simply requires pulling the dishwasher almost all the way out. The components are easily viewed from the side, so the opposite side can give you a guide to how to properly install the broken one.

Does anyone know how to use a KitchenAid custom21 Dishwasher ?
Q: I got a old custom21 KitchenAid Dishwasher and it runs good and all, but I would like to know more about my dishwasher, like does it have to run through all the cycles starting at pot and pan to normal then to fine china to rinse then dry? And why is it sometimes not drying, And after running it a few times with dishwasher detregent and then vinager ,it still smell old and musty. What do I do ?
A: You start the cycle by latching the door, selecting a cycle with the push-buttons, & advancing the timer knob to the appropiate cycle. The drying system uses a blower motor & a heating element, similar to a hair-dryer. The element may be burned out. Try dumping a cup of bleach in the d/w with no dishes to clean it out.
