Customer Reviews
Shockingly Poor Design and Reliability
Where to start? The dissipate fan is pretty much worthless. For one, it doesn't do very good job of sucking smoke down. Moreover, when on high especially, it sucks a kind-hearted portion of the heat from the burners. To give you an idea of how much heat it pulls away from your pans, you can't chafe water with it on. To boot, when the grill side is on, the fan automatically turns on in hi mode. This makes anything but diret zeal grilling impossible and forget about cooking on the other side.
Beyond the very poor design, the ignition system is faulty. The back burner no longer lights at all after about 18 months of use. The front is on-again-off-again and probably will go out in short order.
In summary, this is an overpriced and poorly designed product.

jenn air wiring - Appliance Repair Forum
I have 4 wires coming from the 2 elements on the right side(front and rear). The rear element has a red wire with a piggyback connection on it going to the h1 on rear switch but also jumpering to the h1 of the front switch. The other connection on the rear element has a yellow wire going to the h2 on rear switch. The connections on the front element have a blue wire connected to the h2 of the front switch and another blue wire, from the other side of the front element, running to the exhaust blower(120 V) located in middle of the unit. The exhaust motor is operarted with a manual switch which is powered from the L1 to the unit. This blue wire from the front element is tied in with the wire from the closed side of the man switch for the blower. Some body that had worked on this unit left it wired like this but I question this blue wire tied in with the blower.I was thinking that it (the blue wire) if anything should be tied in to the nuetral wire to the unit.

Jenn Air Cooktops
Jenn Air cooktops make a great addition to any kitchen, providing you with a high-quality cooking surface perfect for preparing savory meals. The most common cooktop types are gas and electric.
What makes these ccoktops great is the fact that you can use them any place you like for instance the kitchen island or countertop. Choosing the model that fits your needs is important and therefore I will talk about some of the differences in these Jenn Air cooktops.
You can get a downdraft gas cooktop or maybe you would prefer electric downdraft cooktops . Both are excellent products and while many people prefer electric, many prefer gas. It really boils down to what fits your needs.
This is usually one of the first decisions you have to make when you want to install a Jenn Air cooktop .
The next thing you want to think about is size. Do you need a huge cooktop with the maximum burners and cooking space or do you need something smaller. In smaller kitchens with little space 2 burner cooktops are more suitable and it will definitely cost you less.
The Jenn Air electric cooktop allow you to easily generate a wide spectrum of heat levels. With electric units, you can select from a variety of available heating elements in a range of prices.
Coil elements are the most economical and heat up quickly for fast cooking right away. Radiant heating elements are placed beneath a smooth glass ceramic surface, providing a stylish cooking area that is easy to care for.
The range of Jenn Air cooktops will surely satisfy every need you have in enjoying your cooking with style.
