talk about nimble!! This griddle will get you out of the kitchen fast! I go in, choose the plates--grill or griddle--, on the point of the items, slap them on the grill, close the top and "wala" we have a meal..it will do just about anything..I wish I would have voted chrome, but I ordered red and it just jumps out and says, "look at me!" Otherwise I am very pleased.Any new bride , homemaker, or an old pro like me (fodder for 50+ years) can keep from heating up the cooktop. People in a small apartment would love having this pro from Amazon.com...I always try to conduct from Amazon because I feel so safe with my money.

The grill at home quickly and, so far, it has performed as advertised. The fact that the grilling and/or griddle plates can be removed for tidiness is a definite plus.

Accomplished Product and Great Price
I had been researching indoor grills and was prevalent to get a George Foreman. I visited Amazon and QVC to read other people's reviews of the indoor grills. I came across this grill and it had safer ratings than the George Foreman's did. I saved over $60 by purchasing on Amazon compared to QVC and got the flush I wanted. I have grilled hamburgers, thin chicken breasts, steaks and cuban sandwiches. I have not tried the griddle yet. It is stunning how quick it cooks. I learned that you need to have all your side dishes and condiments ready to go before you put the meat on the grill. If you use pre-made hamburger patties, they will be done in less than three minutes. As far as lave up goes, I find that once I'm done eating, the grill plates are still warm, but not too hot to handle. It is way easier to clean when they are still kindly than when they are cold. Also, the grill marks on the top plate are not as deep as the bottom, so I now just put the seasonings on the top of the meat for easier wash up. Since the food cooks so quick, I have yet to have any grease go into the cup. The meat comes out so juicy since it cooks so immediately. My only complaint would be the amount of smoke if you use any type of marinades. I usually have to turn on my stove vent. The top is hinged so it can modify to the thickness of whatever you are cooking. You will need to have a spatula to push the back of it up so that it does adjust to the thickness of whatever you are fodder. I almost lost my cuban sandwich when I pressed down because it did not automatically adjust like I thought it would do. Inclusive I am very pleased with it. I am using it a couple times a week.

Very Much Over Rated
I've had my Waring Pro Grill 3 months and have not poisonous mostly meats, chicken and beef with very poor results. I find it to have hot spots where it burns the food in some seats and uncooked it in others. Also it doesn't seem to have a constant temperature once you add the food. It cools way down and takes 2-3 minutes for the "disposed" cook light to come back on. I've used several other types of indoor gills over that last 20 years. This is the first one I've had so many problems with.
Another element is you have to be careful not to burn yourself on the metal top or sides. Cooking fluids also run down into the cooking element locker creating a lot of smoke also making a mess inside the grill and on the counter top. I have to cut-on the kitchen eject fan to remove the smoke at times. I pretty much quit using the Waring Pro Grill in the last 30 life span.
I normally don't write reviews on products but this one is so bad I felt compelled to do so. I had much better luck with gills costing 1/4 the expenditure without the word "Pro" in the name. I do not recommend the Waring Pro Grill.
I'm 63 years old and have been cooking for 45 years.

I passion it!
I have been using this grill since December. I had a Super, but hated to use it because it was such a pain to clean. Had to kind of hold it on the edge of the sink to wash the non-removable plates. I ordered the Waring and wondered why I waited so desire to replace the Foreman! It is so easy to cook burgers, steak, pancakes. . . And, even larger, it is a breeze to clean. The plates are removable--even supposed to be dishwasher-safe although I have only washed them by management. Just let them soak a little, then pretty much just wipe clean! I like the animate settings and ability to cook so many foods on it with the hinged lid and different plates. No complaints whatsoever!

Dull and disappointing
I look over reviews on this griddler and thought it would solve some issues I have in my kitchen... like not having enough compartment for all the small appliances I want to have. So far I have really been disappointed with this Cuisinart product! It's slow and seems underpowered even though it is 1700 watts. The first thing I've managed to make on it so far is pancakes and they can be made almost anywhere. I tried link sausages on the rollers and they scarcely got done in about 20 minutes. Yesterday I tried the skewers for some peppers, onions, and potatoes (already boiled the potatoes degree) and they took way too long. Meat on the skewers barely got past the raw state. I did not have it overcrowded because you can only put partly the skewers on at a time because there isn't enough room. It looks nice and does clean up easily but in my impression it is too slow and even though it popped a breaker on a heavy duty surge suppressor power reservoir I'd plugged it in to, seems way too underpowered. A skillet or two and my stove top can do a better job.

OMG. Who penury's a outside gas grill. I can cook 8 (count it 8) hot dogs and hamburgers at the same epoch. And still toast the buns, and clean up is just as quick. This is a MUST have!!!!!!

Appears well made but grill/griddle course arrived warped!
The griddle dish is acting just like a table with one leg slightly shorter than the other three. I'm aware that the plate take away hole goes to the left over the drip cup. I would probably keep and use it regardless but that wobble will drive me nuts.
I called Cuisinart person service and they will be sending out a replacement plate but I have to pay shipping. I'm glad I don't have to return the whole unit.

Very Permissible Product that Works as Advertised.
I saw this upshot on QVC and was intrigued by the possibilties. The model on QVC turned out to be only 1500 watts with less cooking real mansion for the same $99.00 I paid on Amazon.
The package was delivered quicker than I had anticipated so no complaints from me. The box was untouched and didn't look like it had been abused during shipping.
The Griddler was easy to assemble and as advertised most of the parts are dishwasher whole. After running the parts through the dishwasher, we used it for the first time this evening.
In the lower area, I placed 6 skewers of complaint shish-ka-bobs and on the upper grill, grilled a steak. The shish-ka-bobs were suitable for eating to perfection in about 20 minutes. The veggies were cooked but still had a little "crunch" while the meat was very sickly and cooked to medium.
The grill imparts some attractive "grill" marks on the steak, and the steak was fit for human consumption evenly. Even though the steak had been rubbed down with some olive oil and other seasonings, there wasn't any smoke. The cooking strain scold was completed in about 10 minutes for medium. Unfortunately meat grilled on an indoor energized grill doesn't taste the same as meat grilled on an outdoor gas grill. That's probably because the dripping nourishment juices can't be vaporized on an indoor grill like they are on an outdoor gas grill. Those vapors aid flavor the meat further. I expected as much so I didn't take off any stars.
Give the Griddler ample time to chilly down before attempting to clean. It is very easy to clean. As stated before most of the parts are dishwasher safe. The grill panel was particularly easy to rinse and wipe off before putting it into the dishwasher. Crusted cooking leftover didn't stick and could be removed with your fingers under a litte running water.
Something everyone should be aware of is the Griddler puts out a lot of warm up excite. It will get hot. Very hot. Families with kids need to understand that when the lower cooking area is being used, the characters upper class cooking grill/griddle is just as hot. Keep young kids away and be careful that nothing gets placed on the characters upper class cooking area (except food to be cooked) while the unit is in use. I used the Griddler on the stove where the kids identify to stay away.
Overall this is an easy product to recommend. While I prefer the taste of eats grilled from a gas grill, the Griddler will work fine when outside temperatures and inclement out of sorts dictate using the indoor grill. Finally this unit is not small and will take up some room if you're effective to store it. But the Griddler is attractive enough to leave out and its functional enough that it should be used often.
UPDATE: We used the Griddler rather extensively over the weekend. Hotdogs were ripe on the lower level while the buns were toasted on the upper cooking area. The dogs were not poisonous perfect. Later we sauteed a large amount of onions and mushrooms on the griddle. Again the results were absolute, and we could lower the heat to keep the onions and shroons warm while other items were prepared. Cleanup was very clear and quick.

Griddler
I bought the Cuisinart GR-4N 5-in1 Griddler as a replacement for an aging and much smaller grill of another kind, and I wish I had thought to do so much earlier. It's small enough to cook for one (most often its use), but promises to be perfect for a brunch or formal meal crowd. I like the options to grill closed or open, and love the griddle for my partiality pancakes. The removable plates are a godsend - so easy to clean that I feel happy to use this effort everyday! Uses a lot less electricity than my regular oven and broiler, too.

Confuse away
I liked the griddler regardless of the fact you can't clean the cooking plates well because of the so called non stick surface. I acclimated to it often according to the coking instruction booklet that came with the appliance. After a short time the chintzy locking clips that hold the removable plates in place became brittle and broke off. The top print will not secure to the lid rendering the appliance useless . This is an expensive throw away.

This is our third clique and the only negative on it is they don't last long. We usually buy a backup machine when the price is right. If you don't like overcooked meat, this is for you. Cooks without blackening meat.

Cardinal!
The come round off plates are great. It has variable temp controls, not just on and off. The slide-out grease tray is spectacular, no more cups sitting around on the counter. The adjustable top fit perfect over sandwiches for toasting. Will use this in the camper rather than gunfire up the stove. It's like an itty-bitty stove/oven. Very satisfied.

The non stick grill and griddle plates, scraping tool and grease cups are all dishwasher safe. Out of the way cord storage, recipe book and three year limited warranty are included.
The Griddler is a very mixed bag. People tend to love it or hate it, with the majority loving it, yet many troublesome issues must be considered. The grill heats quickly and offers higher temperatures not always attainable with other models, but occasional temperature rebound issues occur when foods are added. Grease collection problems and splatter are common complaints and with the open sides, droplets tend to fly in many directions. Breakage of essential small parts can render the entire unit useless, though the warranty offered may help alleviate any fears of defect.
The brushed stainless steel exterior is called cool touch housing according to the Cuisinart site, but make no mistake, it will heat during use and can burn. The Griddler, according to Cuisinart's manual, can take ten minutes to reach operating temperature, another drawback if you're constantly waiting for the surfaces to regain proper cooking power. Also, a recommend thirty minute wait for cleanup in order to cool down is necessary to prevent burns, but isn't always convenient or conducive to easy cleaning. If time is a factor in your choice of appliance, this may not be the fit for you.

HELP - I need a good grill?
Q: Cuisinart Griddler Express Contact Grill? I need a grill that i KNOW will cook hamburgers really well that doesnt take a year to cook them either. I bought a grill today that doesn't work at all... need to replace it. Does anyone have the cuisinart grill listed above? cooked hamburgers?
A: I don't have much experience with grills so I don't know which are considered best, but we have a george forman grill and it makes hamburgers perfectly and quickly. They cook so fast I have to stay near them to make sure they don't dry out.
